About Us

The Texas A&M University Physics & Astronomy Observatory, also known as the TAMU Physics Teaching Observatory, hosts astronomy classes, community activities, and research projects.

The observatory is currently CLOSED to the public and students unless an event states otherwise. The only events currently open to the public are Brazos Valley Astronomy Club meetings, which you can see the schedule for on their website.

Our facilities include a 50-person classroom, an 18-ft dome, a 16.5-ft dome, a Pier Tech Unit observatory, and an observation deck with 16 powered piers for student telescopes. Feel free to contact us for any questions, requests, events, projects, research, etc!
