About Us

The Texas A&M University Physics & Astronomy Teaching Observatory serves our community by teaching astronomy and facilitating access to the cosmos. The observatory hosts astronomy classes, community activities, and research projects.
The observatory is CLOSED to the public and students unless an event states otherwise. Check out our events page to see when the next public events are and how to schedule a private event.
Our facilities include a 50-person classroom, an 18-ft dome, a 16.5-ft dome, a Pier Tech Unit observatory, and an observation deck with 16 powered piers for student telescopes. Feel free to contact us for any questions, requests, events, projects, research, etc!
