SFA Star Chart Viewer - Version 1.1.0

 

This is the third iteration in the SFA Chart project and was completely re-written from scratch to deliver more and better features. Based on the free SFA Star Charts created by Dr. Dan Bruton of Stephen F. Austin State University.

Startup Instructions

1. Download SFA Chart Viewer (~7.09 mb ZIP Archive) and unarchive the SFAChart.zip archive.
2. Download SFA Chart Update 1.1 (~1.2 mb ZIP Archive), unarchive and view the README file for installation instructions.
3. Navigate into the SFAChart folder and double-click the "SFAChart.jar" file.
4. If the application does not start, you may not have Java properly installed. Visit the Java web site for a free download.

 

Basic Operations

• Left-click & drag in main window for angular separation and position angle measurements.
• Right-click for popup menu. This can be used to display the selected region in the SAO Viewer.
• Right-click in SAO Viewer for options.
• Right-click in North and South charts for options.
• Right-click on image in the Saturn and Jupiter utilities for options.
• Menus and buttons with green labels require internet access.
